Timing

E-mail Print PDF
All 53km and 106km participants will wear a timing band (a transponder on a strap) on their left ankle for the entire event. You must be wearing the band on your ankle as you first cross the Start Line and when you cross the Finish Line if you want to record your ride time.

Make sure you keep the timing band with your ride equipment so you don't forget to wear it on the day. The band should be worn on the left ankle. On event day the timing team will be available at the Registration Tent for any last minute issues.

Do not swap your timing band with any other rider – not even other members in your team. Each band is assigned to one rider only and you will not receive your correct time otherwise. If your timing band has a different number to your entrant ID do not be alarmed. The timing company will know the transponder codes allocated to each person.

Handing in your timing band

When you cross the Finish Line, you will reach a point where manual timing will record your race number. You will then pass through the finishing gates and hand your timing band in.

All riders must hand in their timing band whether they finished the ride, or participated at all.

If you do not finish please hand your timing band to a timing staff member or the registration / information desk. Please do not hand the band in to anyone else.

If you do not participate in the ride please return the band to TriEvents (Post to: TriEvents, PO Box 1960, OSBORNE PARK WA 6916 or In Person at: 25A Hutton Street, Osborne Park 6017) by Friday 26th November 2010. Failure to return the timing band in original condition will result in a fee of $50 being charged to the participant.
