The Santos Great Bike Ride for Charity was established in 2004, and has quickly become one of Western Australia’s most iconic mass cycling events. The event is owned by the Rotary Club of Perth and raises vital funds for the Horizon House, Hope for Children and the Heart Foundation.
Fundraise for the three Charities and ride in the Santos Great Bike Ride for Charity for FREE!!!
We'd like to reward you for supporting our three valuable charities by giving you the opportunity to fundraise instead of paying the entry fee. If you choose to fundraise instead of paying an entry fee simply register online but do not pay your registration fee (log out once you reach the payment screen). Once you reach the minimum fundraising target for your category, your entry fee will be reset to $0.00.Click here to view the minimum fundraising targets.
To make this event successful, not only do we need you to participate but we also need you to fundraise. Your registration fee only covers the cost of running the event. That’s why we really need you to make a special effort to hit your fundraising target to make this event worthwhile for the three charities involved and those they help.

Charity Info:
Hope for Children focuses on empowering local communities to best care for their vulnerable children and break the vicious cycle of poverty. We support a wide range of projects which provide the children with food, shelter, education, medical care and life skills. By addressing the psychological needs of the children, the work of Hope for Children goes beyond many of its counterparts. The carers participate in programs to enhance their parenting skills and ability to become economically self-sufficient. Through these programs, the children and their carers are building a brighter future for Ethiopia.
The Heart Foundation is Australia's leading not-for-profit heart health organisation, dedicated to reducing the dreadful effects of the number of people living with, or dying from stroke, heart disease and blood vessel disease. Since being established in Australia in 1959, the Heart Foundation has funded world-class cardiovascular research, supported health professionals in their practice, developed health promotion activities, informed and educated the public, and assisted people with cardiovascular disease. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in Australia accounting 34% of all deaths, killing one Australia every 10 minutes.
Providing long-term accommodation and support, Horizon House accommodates young people aged 16 to 22 from various backgrounds. Having experienced significant – often complex – problems in their life such as family conflict, physical harm, mental abuse or homelessness, Horizon House gives at-risk youth a home in which they can achieve and aspire to a better future.
