About the Charities:

The event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Perth raising funds for the St John of God Foundation Horizon House Project, Hope for Children and the Heart Foundation.

Heart Foundation

Heart Foundation
Every 10 minutes one Australian dies from heart, stroke and blood vessel disease. As Australia's leading heart health charity, the Heart Foundation is dedicated to saving lives through research, education, health promotion and services to patients. www.heartfoundation.com.au

St John of God Foundation Horizon House Project

St John of God Foundation Horizon House Project
On any given night in Australia there are over 32,000 young people aged 12-24 years that are homeless - this number makes up over a third of the total recorded number of homeless people in Australia. In Western Australia alone there are over 3,000 young people who are homeless. These young people do not choose to be homeless.

St John of God Foundation Horizon House Project provides young people aged 16-22 years, who would otherwise be homeless, with a twenty four hour family environment; supported by permanent live-in carers, education and training opportunities, intensive life and social skills so that they can ultimately become tomorrow’s community leaders. www.ssjgfoundation.org.au
